All international visitors need to have a valid passport and an entry, transit or tourist visa obtained from the Indian authorities. There are a few visa waiver exceptions for some nationals (Argentina, Bangladesh, Pakistani, Poland, Romanian, Russian, Slovak Republic, South Africa and Uruguay).
The Indian Embassy advises applicants to apply to the appropriate consular jurisdiction as well as reviewing most current visa requirements.

If you require an original copy of the invitation letter, we will be happy to mail it using a courier service. Please keep in mind that it may take as many as 21 days to receive an original letter in the mail, so please submit requests as soon as possible.
