Kyocera Mita America Maintains ISO 14001:2004 Certification

FAIRFIELD, New Jersey - Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, has successfully completed its annual surveillance audit, for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004, where once again, the Company achieved high marks for demonstrating its environmental management system excellence. This annual certification, verified through an independent audit, emphasizes the importance of environmental responsibility, and verifies Kyocera Mita America’s commitment to establishing a strategic organizational framework and approach to environmental policy, plans and actions.

Kyocera Mita America values environmental preservation as a critical benchmark for corporate success and community leadership. Achieving and maintaining ISO 14001:2004 certification enables the organization to identify and control the environmental impact of its activities and products; allowing the Company to more effectively implement a systematic approach to setting environmental objectives and targets.

The ISO is a network of national standard institutes from 154 countries working in partnership with international organizations, governments, industry, business and consumer representatives. The International Environmental Management System Standard (ISO 14001) developed by ISO is the recognized standard for environmental management, as well as a benchmark for environmental excellence.

Kyocera Mita America’s North American Headquarters is audited every year along with a predetermined number of satellite locations. This year Kyocera Mita America’s Western Region, located in Irvine, CA, and Midwestern Region, Wood Dale, IL, participated in the surveillance audits.
