Cartridge World North America announced the appointment of Joy James to serve as its senior vice president of business development effective May 5. This new role has been created to bring greater focus to printing and imaging opportunities for franchisees. She will report to Peter Hasko, interim CEO of Cartridge World and managing director of Wolseley Private Equity.
James most recently spent four years as the managing principal of The Joy James Group (JJG), a management consulting firm that specializes in the imaging industry space. Prior to forming JJG, James co-founded InkCycle, the largest volume producer of aftermarket inkjet cartridges in North America during her tenure. In addition, James has built several category-leading aftermarket supplies companies during her 14-year management career, including Environmental Reclamation Services and Dataproducts/Hitachi Koki Imaging Supplies division.
In her new position, James will drive Cartridge World North America’s growth and will spearhead the go-to-market approach in order to deliver small-to-medium sized businesses with complete printing solutions.
“Joy has a deep understanding of the printer imaging supplies industry and a long track record of executing strategies that drive growth and profitability,” said Hasko. “Her expertise in the printer cartridge aftermarket and strategic skill set make her well suited for this position and will help Cartridge World achieve its goals moving forward.”
James holds a bachelor of science in business and masters in business administration from California State University. She currently serves on the advisory board of the Wells Fargo Center for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
