More new HP technology, more new HP products. Of several noteworthy announcements by Hewlett-Packard last month was the introduction of a new Officejet business inkjet machine, the Officejet Pro L7590 AIO with 88 ink cartridges, which the company claims delivers up to 50 percent lower cost per page than competitive laser printers. The rollout also includes color HP LaserJet printers, supplies and accessories as well as monochrome HP LaserJet multifunction printers. New Desktops models include the Color LaserJet CP1515n/CP1518ni printer series and Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP series. Additionally, Canon added to its color lineup of imageRUNNER MFPs with the C2550 device for small offices and workgroups. The C2550 ($8,000) prints in color up to 23 ppm and 25 ppm in monochrome and comes standard with Ultra Fast Rendering for high-speed color up to 1,200 dpi. Canon also expanded its imageCLASS MF6500 Series, introducing four new black-and-white multifunction laser copiers. The new imageCLASS MF6540, MF6590, MF6595 and MF6595cx devices offer print and copy speeds of up to 24 ppm.
