In today’s fast-paced business world, it is critical to be able to communicate ideas and manage documents instantly. With standard duplexing, a print speed of 16 pages per minute, and Ricoh’s Refined Print Command Stream (RPCS) print driver users create fast, one-click print functionality for even the most complex print jobs. PDF Direct Print helps eliminate network congestion by quickly printing PDF’s without opening the application. With a 250-sheet standard paper tray, 100-sheet capacity Bypass Tray and an optional 500-sheet capacity paper tray, paper replenishment time is reduced, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity. A legal-size platen expands the capability to copy, scan or fax large documents up to 8 ½” x 14”. An easy-to-use Control Panel provides quick access to all system capabilities.

Scanned documents can be distributed in full-color directly to e-mail addresses through embedded Scan-to-Email or to network folders via Scan-to-Folder, enabling tight deadlines to be met and overnight delivery charges to be eliminated. LDAP support prevents misdials by calling up fax numbers and email addresses directly from the corporate address book. Phone costs can be reduced with Super G3 faxing, as users can send documents in as little as two seconds per page. Advanced fax features, such as LAN Fax, Internet Fax and IP Fax utilize the power of the Internet and networks to help lower costs.
Security is an essential component of the design of the Aficio MP 161 Series. Encrypted PDF transmission allows users to protect critical scanned documents. Additional security, including User Authentication, ensures overall document protection by verifying the user’s identity before allowing system access. When faxing, document security can be improved by routing inbound faxes directly to designated e-mail addresses or network folders.
Whether an office or workgroup is comprised of stand-alone or networked PCs, the Aficio MP 161 Series includes all you need to connect. Users can connect directly to a stand-alone PC or to the network with either standard 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet or USB 2.0 interfaces and can connect quickly to non-networked PCs using the optional IEEE 1284 parallel interface. In addition, users can conveniently access or change a single system’s settings or view print job status from the desktop using Web Image Monitor and can send meter data automatically with Ricoh’s @Remote Intelligent Management System.
