Oce Adds MFP

Océ introduced the Océ Imagistics fx3000, a high-performance desktop MFP that can improve productivity and connect busy workgroups. The fx3000 is an ideal entry-level MFP that offers print, copy, color scan and cutting-edge fax technology to meet the demands of today’s small office. Built to fit even in the most challenging of spaces, the small footprint of this easy-to-use and easy-to-network MFP can raise levels of productivity with its 33.6Kbps modem including Super G3 with JBIG compression for faster fax transmissions. At a speed of 30ppm, the fx3000 delivers quality output with 1200 x 600 dpi resolution and ships standard with PaperPort® 9.0 and OCR capability for easy document management.

Ease of Use

The fx3000 is user friendly with every feature prominently displayed on the large operator panel. A legal-size platen provides the capability or copying, scanning or faxing from books or oversized documents. The MFP offers auto-duplexing and utilizes a duplexing auto-document feeder to improve workflow. Powered with LDAP support, it allows the user to look up addresses stored on the network and can store up to 300 numbers in memory for easy recall making it easy to manage documents faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Advanced Connectivity

The fx3000 is network ready with standard Ethernet and a high-speed USB 2.0. The device delivers advanced color scanning and next generation fax technology for improved document handling capabilities. The fx3000 ships with Internet fax, Scan-to-email, Scan-to-FTP and basic scanning to network folders. The remote usage counter, with automatic e-mail set-up, allows the user to track usage and printing costs with ease while eliminating time-consuming traditional call-ins and meter reading methods.

Enhanced Security

The fx3000 provide several layers of advanced security solutions for its compact size to suit small office needs. Password protection is offered for document and device protection while the feature lock grants only designated users the ability to change settings. The fx3000 can restrict access to FTP folders to those users with permission for using files posted to FTP sites. Secure Receive and Secure Print, which protect critical transmissions, both feature password permission.
