Lanier introduced the Lanier LD255, LD265, and LD275, three powerful digital multifunction products (MFPs) designed to significantly increase productivity, security, and ease of use in departmental environments. The systems offer digital copying, network printing, scanning, and optional finishing. All three will be available immediately.
“To maintain high productivity, end-users in virtually every industry need departmental document management systems that deliver speed, quality, and the latest functionality in a convenient, easy-to-use design,” said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. “The Lanier LD255, LD265, and LD275 MFPs provide exactly that. These high-performance systems ensure superior productivity for digital copying, printing, and scanning, as well as a full line of finishing options.”
The LD255, LD265, and LD275 produce up to 55, 65, or 75 digital copies or network prints per minute with image quality up to 1,200 dpi, and offer dual-sided scanning at 75 images per minute.
“These three MFPs are built for fast, easy operation, whether you are a document management expert or have only had minimal training,” Pontrelli said. “That’s important, because a departmental system must be accessible to a wide range of people. End-users need to be able to complete tasks quickly and make way for the next person in line. That’s what these systems are designed to do.” Ease-of-use features include a large LCD touch screen with easy-to-read font sizes and brighter text for enhanced readability and a user interface that offers step-by-step illustrations of how to clear misfeeds. Users may also select the Simplified Display feature to hide all but the most common choices. This feature helps minimize clutter and simplify operation.
“We have also equipped these systems with all the latest tools for document security, document distribution, and professional finishing,” Pontrelli said. “No matter what job you need to do, these systems will help you execute it with speed and precision.”
Security features include Windows authentication, which requires a username and valid password for system access; Copy Guard protection, which delivers originals that are rendered unreadable if unauthorized users attempt to copy them on a similarly enabled device; and the DataOverwriteSecurity System, which overwrites the hard drive and protects sensitive files even if the hard drive is removed. Document distribution tools include scan-to-email with improved LDAP support, scan-to-folder, and scan-to-FTP.
Finishing options include two 3,000-sheet finishers (with either 50- or 100-sheet stapling) or a saddle stitch finisher that produces booklets up to 60 pages. Any of these integrated finishing solutions can be combined with an interposer for adding full-color covers, a Z-fold unit, and/or a 2/3-hole punch. In addition, the 100-sheet stapling finisher can be configured with a GBC Streampunch module with interchangeable die sets, which enables plastic coil, WireBind, and other innovative bindery options.
