Cartridge World, the world’s fastest growing ink refilling retailer in the $55 billion printer cartridge industry, announced the grand opening of its 1,000th worldwide retail location in Atlanta on Oct. 26, 2005. With projections of more than 300 new openings a year in the United States alone, the 1,000th store is one of the many milestones the printer cartridge refilling retailer is pursuing.

The 500th United States location is expected to open in spring 2006. Eventually, there will be thousands of Cartridge World stores in the United States, putting Cartridge World on a fast track to becoming a neighborhood brand. “Many of our franchise owners are committed to the company’s growth and are opening additional locations in a very short time period,” said Burt Yarkin, CEO of Cartridge World North America.
Cartridge World, which opened its first franchise location in Adelaide, Australia in 1997, is the first retail cartridge refilling concept to take on manufacturing giants such as HP, Lexmark and Canon while offering cost-saving solutions for consumers and businesses on the traditionally inflated costs of printer cartridges.
