Lexmark Releases New Laser Printers

June 27, 2005

Lexmark International, Inc. today introduced the Lexmark C920, a high-performance color printer with value-added features delivering superior quality and ease of use.

The Lexmark C920 is capable of printing up to 36 pages per minutes (ppm) in monochrome and up to 32 ppm in color. A powerful 1GHz processor, larger than any competitive model, produces a time-to-first-page rating as fast as 9.5 seconds for monochrome print jobs and 13.5 seconds for color.

Its fast output is complemented by its superior print quality. The Lexmark C920 features 2400 Image Quality for vibrant color images and business graphics, and its color science technology provides output that is suitable for simulated pre-press layouts or finished business materials.

The company also introduced three new single-function monochrome laser printers that combine the power and versatility of high-performance printers with the business-enhancing solutions that previously were found only on higher priced multifunction devices

The Lexmark T640, T642 and T644 are designed with a new, innovative user interface that gives these printers the ability to deliver customized solutions using the Lexmark Document Solutions Suite that, until now, has only been available on Lexmark multifunction printers. The operator panel’s numeric pad and USB Direct interface add outstanding ease-of-use. These features are part of a common architecture also found on the other laser printers unveiled today: the Lexmark W840 and the Lexmark C920.

Lastly, Lexmark announced the Lexmark W840, a monochrome laser printer that brings high-volume functionality and versatility to customers who need speed, productivity and advanced document finishing for wide-format applications.

The powerful 625 MHz processor and 256 MB of standard memory enable the Lexmark W840 to print at up to 50 letter size pages per minute with a time to first page of as little as seven seconds. Its duty cycle of up to 300,000 pages per month make it rugged enough for the most demanding environments.
