Remanufacturing the Sharp AR-M350/AR-M450 Copier Cartridges

Released in July 2003, the Sharp AR-M350/450 engine is based on a 35-45 ppm, 600-by-600-dpi engine. The cartridge is rated for 27,000 pages at 6 percent coverage.

The Sharp 350 cartridge.

Supplies Required

1) 814 grams of Sharp 350/450 black toner.

2) New chip.

3) Adhesive seal.

4) Recovery blade.

5) Toner cap.

Tools Required

1) Needle-nose pliers.

2) Scotch tape.

3) Toner-approved vacuum.

Remanufacturing Instructions

1) Remove toner fill cap. See Figure 1.

2) Vacuum remaining toner from cartridge and seal opening.

3) Tape back recovery blade from seal opening. See Figure 2.

4) Clean seal opening and insert new seal.

5) Remove toner chip with needle-nose pliers. Be careful not to bend the clips that hold the chip in place. See Figure 3. Replace with new toner chip.

6) Fill with 814 grams of Sharp 350/450 black toner.
