September 1, 1998 - page(s): 90
Atlanta, Ga. — Corporate America's most widely used business reports are now available via KnowX™, the most comprehensive website offering public records and business and financial background information to small businesses and consumers.

Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) reports, available via KnowX (www.knowx.com), contain information on nearly 40 million businesses worldwide. Small businesses can use the information to quickly and easily gather background information on companies that are under business consideration. The information can also be used by consumers considering new employment opportunities to gain more information before making a decision. "The addition of D&B records to KnowX is a real plus for small businesses and consumers in need of business background information," said KnowX General Manager Jane Rafeedie. "Because there's no subscription fee and our pay-as-you-go' prices are so reasonable, small businesses and consumers now have the same access to business information that historically has been exclusively reserved for corporations."

"D&B's partnership with KnowX represents another step in our goal to embed D&B business information in as broad a spectrum of technologies as possible," said Barbara McCoy, assistant vice president for Internet & Online Sales at Dun & Bradstreet. "We're pleased that an outstanding new resource for comprehensive business information has been created with the addition of D&B reports to the KnowX Web site."

The D&B Business Abstract offers a basic company overview, including business location, line of business, sales, principal executive, corporate family association, and other applicable information when available.

The D&B Business Information Report includes a company overview, history and operations, credit rating and summary, PAYDEX(R) score and payment history, up to three years of financial summaries, executive biographical information, and public filings, including UCCs, liens, judgments, lawsuits and bankruptcies.

The Business Record utilizes D&B information to provide a company overview, history and operations, and executive biographical information. This report d'es not include credit rating or other payment information.

To access D&B records through KnowX, U.S. users will be required to register with a credit card and comply with Dun & Bradstreet's online service agreement. KnowX charges customers a $1 search fee, with an additional charge to purchase reports.
